Review: Instanatural Vitamin C Toner & Youth Express Eye Gel

Instanatural Vitamin C Toner and Youth Express Eye Gel

After using and enjoying Instanatural’s Deep Facial Cleansing Oil & Rose Hip Seed Oil, when I was offered the opportunity to try more of their products, I instantly said yes. I think Instanatural is a wonderful company, producing both natural and organic products right here in the USA. I was really impressed with the other products I tried, but I think I love these two just a little more!

Toners have traditionally been a skincare product that I skipped over. I was always under the impression that toners were only for people with oily skin, most likely because most drugstore toners are filled with alcohol and strip all the oils from your skin. When I became more interested in skincare and trying to correct problems instead of cover them with makeup, I realized that a toner was something I needed in my routine. I’ve tried a few drugstore versions, both with and without alcohol, but haven’t been satisfied with the results, as I still found them to be very drying. I’ve also tried a couple of Korean toners and haven’t been wowed by those results either.

When I received this product, my expectations were fairly low. After one use, however, I realized that this toner is completely different than anything I’ve used before.

This product is 100% natural and organic, made with ingredients like vitamin c, witch hazel, green tea, and essential oils. It smells amazing, like peeling a juicy, ripe orange. Sometimes I like to just mist a little on my face to feel instantly refreshed.

Using it as a toner, I spray it onto a cotton pad and wipe it all over my face. I love that I can feel an almost-cooling sensation as it works its way into my pores. It has astringent properties, but it PH balances skin, so there’s no worry about it stripping away the oils that I need. It also helps to prepare skin for moisturizers and serums, allowing them to absorb more easily.

The spray nozzle is a really nice touch. With most toners, I feel like I’m wasting product because of the way the product is distributed. With this, I know exactly how many spritzes I need.

This is one of my holy grail beauty products. Having been completely underwhelmed by toners in the past, I’m just really excited about how amazing this product is. I know it’s more expensive than drug store products, but give it a shot. It’s definitely worth it!

Instanatural Youth Express Eye Gel

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

That is one piece of advice I wish I’d paid more attention to in my youth. Looking at my parents, I can easily see that I have a genetic predisposition for saggy, baggy undereyes. Unfortunately for me, I can also just look in the mirror and see the beginning stages of those eye bags start to take shape. I wish I had started using an eye treatment a long time ago!

This eye gel is full of lots of amazing things–from hyaluronic acid and plant stem cells, to peptides, amino acids, aloe, and cucumber. It is made to treat and help prevent dark circles, puffiness, eye bags, crows feet, dry skin, fine lines, and sagging eyes. The biggest issues I’ve been dealing with are puffiness and redness.

I’ve been using this eye cream for about two weeks, but I don’t feel like that’s really long enough to expect to see any substantial results. I do feel like the puffiness under my eyes isn’t quite as pronounced, but I’d like to continue using this for a month or so before I make a determination on its overall effectiveness.

I think this product has helped a lot with the dryness under my eyes. I use a pretty thick concealer there because of the discoloration. Sometimes that concealer can look dry and cakey, especially if I haven’t moisturized really well. With this product, I don’t have that same issue. It’s a thick gel and I feel like it hydrates well in that area, but doesn’t make my skin oily.

My only complaint with this product would be the pump. It’s the same size as the bottle and I feel like that makes it hard to control how much product is distributed. There’s definitely an art to getting the right amount! I’ve mostly figured it out, but I feel like I wasted a bit of product those first few days.

Instanatural has a whole line of fantastic skincare products. If you haven’t checked them out, do it. Your skin will thank you!

  • I need to try both of these! I’m always looking for a good toner, but like you, haven’t been happy with any of the ones that I’ve found so far. I love a good under eye cream–I’m trying to avoid those baggy undereyes as long as possible!!

    • This toner is great if you have normal to oily skin. I get very dry in the cooler months, so I’m getting ready to switch to something a little more moisturizing. I am oily in summer, so this has worked great for me. 🙂

  • I’m starting to use eye gels due to my eyes being puffy when I wake up so I need to check into this company since they have natural products. I’m trying to go the natural route with my skincare products. Great review! #ProductReviewParty

    • I like the gels better than creams. I feel like they absorb better into my skin. Thanks for the comment!
